Goodbye, sweet hat.

This was always intended to be the final post in my week of posting (which, I know, ten days now); just a final goodbye and photos of the good times we had while away. I’ll miss you all – thank you for letting me share such a wonderful time with you; and, I wish everyone the best of luck with whatever it is that you’re going on to do! 🙂

Don’t you know? All good stories start with ‘once upon a time’ and end with ‘happily ever after.’

So, here’s the post I was supposed to put up on Sunday – but I got a little overwhelmed by packing and cleaning and though I had most of it written, I completely forgot. So really, my week of posts has expanded a little, but that’s okay. I’m still impressed I managed five out of seven days more or less on time – so that’s something! 🙂

This is basically a little sum-up of my time in Germany; how I feel it went, some of what I did, etc. It’s very much introspective and so might be a little boring, but I think it’s a good time to look a little at what I did so that I can prepare myself for the next part of my journey.

So I did a little hunt around the web to find some recipes – that hopefully shouldn’t be too difficult to make! 🙂

Are you talkin’ to me?

Only a few more days left here, now.

Today’s post should be quite fun though – I’m going to teach you a little German. And by a little, I mean: things that we found especially useful, for whatever reason ;).

Let’s just jump straight in, shall we?

(Note: my pronunciation guides – in italics – are not perfect. They’ll help you get on the right track, though.)

Why so serious?

Another pretty short one: just a quick look into the life of an Erasmus student (me! – and be warned, it’s not all that interesting). So, here’s what I did today…

Just play a bit of music and he falls straight asleep!

… or: Five Songs That Will Forever Remind Me of Erasmus (for better or worse!).

They’re in no particular order and since I have no idea how to embed YouTube videos on here (if I even can!), you’ll have to click through the links, but they’re all good fun.

If anyone has any better suggestions – or if you just want to share songs that remind you of Erasmus/your year abroad/whatever – leave a comment below and I’ll add them to the list!

You know, I think this Christmas thing is not as tricky as it seems! But why should they have all the fun? It should belong to anyone!

Day one of the week of posts: Christmas markets. I probably should have written about this last month, but oh well, it gives you all ten months or so to book your flights to Germany to come and see them 😉
